Our leadership team has over 100 years of combined direct project oversight experience as General Contractors. That depth of knowledge and experience allows us to anticipate challenges before they arise, protect budgets, and maintain schedule from preconstruction through final turnover. We thrive on teamwork. Construction is never a solo effort, and we believe the best projects are built through collaboration between ownership, design teams, trade partners, and field leadership. Chris Schillinger
Founder | PrincipalChris brings more than 20 years of direct construction and development project management experience across the western United States. His experience spans core and shell office buildings, high end hotel and casino developments, luxury for sale multifamily resort product, affordable housing communities, and most notably the successful delivery of more than 1,500 market rate apartment units ranging from low rise wood frame construction to large-scale high-rise apartment buildings.
Chris combines a developer’s mindset with a builder’s discipline, understanding both the financial drivers and field execution required to deliver complex projects. He has led teams through all phases of development and construction, from early planning and budgeting through final completion, consistently aligning stakeholders and driving results. He has a genuine passion for construction and thrives on leadership. Chris is known for building strong teams, setting clear expectations, and guiding projects to successful delivery across a wide variety of asset types.
Born and raised in Colorado, Chris earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He began his career with a large national General Contractor in California and Nevada before returning home to Colorado to continue building within the communities he values most.
Chris lives in Wheat Ridge with his wife Gina and their two children. Outside of work, the family enjoys spending time in the mountains snowboarding, golfing and taking full advantage of Colorado’s outdoors.
Ryan Rogers
Founder | PrincipalRyan has held a lasting passion for the built environment and creating beauty. This reaches back to his childhood where he played with building blocks, designed sprawling metropolises, and crafted new worlds to play in. This passion for creating led him initially to the arts and culminated with his passion for architecture. While studying architecture he began to fashion his vision of the master BuilDR; where beauty is married to functionality and feasibility. In his development as a master BuilDR, Ryan pursued a career in construction to learn the means and methods required to build. Partnering his construction knowledge with his architectural abilities Ryan brings an aesthetic eye to his projects, allowing him to innovatively and successfully deliver beautiful buildings. He has worked on a wide array of projects ranging from healthcare, hospitality, commercial, multi-family, and industrial in a design-build, Integrated Project Delivery, and Design/Bid/Build methodology. These varied experiences have developed him into the ever growing master BuilDR he is today.At BuilD R S Ryan is responsible for the pre-construction and pre-development process. He collaboratively leads the mission-critical planning process; providing development and construction feasibility analysis and yield, creating and managing budgets, schedules, relationships, and strategies to successfully synthesize the execution of our clients vision.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honors from the University of Colorado and a Master of Architecture from Iowa State University. He loves to spend time with his wife and three daughters, enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado; be it hiking, trail running, snowboarding, or racing cars through the mountains. Ryan remains active in the community with his church, Denver Rescue Mission, and Young Life.
Cory Wright
Project ExecutiveCory has over two decades of experience in Construction Management. In late 2025, he was promoted to Project Executive where he continues to bring his deep industry knowledge to every project. He began his career as a residential home builder and moved to commercial construction shortly after completing graduate school with a Master’s in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Since then, he has become a leader in developing education and administration buildings, high rise offices, healthcare projects, large unit multifamily mixed-use developments, class A buildings, as well as complex commercial renovations.
Cory brings a tenured knowledge of the local subcontracting community, permitting and jurisdictional processes, and an unwavering commitment to clients and industry partners. Cory has been able to develop upstanding partner relationships by creating innovative solutions through his passion for details. As Project Executive, he is engaged through projects from early development to completion. He leads the design phase management, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability analysis processes. Cory supports the construction teams with subcontractor procurement, contract manager, and maintaining owner relationships; for which he has received a Vendor Solicitation Award.
Cory is an avid skier, enjoys golf, and all things fitness. During his free time, you can find Cory in the mountains enjoying time with his friends and family. Cory and his wife have two beautiful young daughters who share their love of the mountains with.
Pete Waller
Project SuperintendentPete Waller brings over 15 years of experience in commercial construction throughout the Rocky Mountain region. As a superintendent, he has led a wide variety of projects, including ground-up K–12 schools, renovations, municipal adaptive reuse projects, tenant improvements, large-scale mixed-use developments, and multifamily communities.
Known for his strong leadership in the field, Pete excels at coordinating complex scopes of work, proactively solving challenges, and delivering projects on schedule. He is committed to fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners, helping ensure successful project outcomes and a collaborative team environment.
Pete earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on the golf course, attending Rockies games, cheering on the Colorado Buffaloes, and traveling with his family.
Michael Henzel
Director of Project EngineeringMichael began his construction career in Minnesota, where he quickly gained valuable experience working with a general contractor on the reconstruction of the I-35W bridge as a summer intern; an early opportunity to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure project. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, he moved to New York City and worked on complex projects for the NYCMTA, including subway station rehabilitations, vent plant upgrades, and construction of a new station along the Second Avenue Subway line. These projects helped shape his reputation for technical precision and strong project coordination.
Originally from Colorado, Michael later returned to Denver to join a general contractor’s metals division, where he oversaw structural steel and miscellaneous metals installations. Michael has become known for his sharp eye for detail and his ability to anticipate issues before they arise. By carefully reviewing plans and submittals and ensuring strong coordination across teams, Michael consistently helps projects run smoother and reduces costly field issues and rework.
Outside of work, Michael is a devoted husband and proud father of two energetic boys who keep life full of adventure. Weekends often involve trips to the zoo or exploring Colorado’s parks and outdoors. His boys stay busy with swimming, karate, and gymnastics, and Michael enjoys cheering them on and being part of their activities. A former college soccer player, he now channels his competitive spirit and discipline into CrossFit.
Jakob Beckish
Project EngineerJakob Beckish has close to two years of experience in commercial multifamily construction, with project management experience across multifamily, mixed-use commercial construction, and tenant improvement projects. He brings a strong understanding of project coordination, field operations, and maintaining progress across a variety of construction scopes.
Jakob earned his Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the mountains skiing and hiking, golfing with friends, and traveling with his family.
Robert Ochsner
Field SuperintendentRobert Ochsner brings over 20 years of construction experience, starting as a laborer and working his way through painting, roofing, and carpentry into a foreman role. His hands-on background and leadership led him to start his own business, where he built strong skills in project planning, client coordination, and quality execution.
Since joining the team, Robert was recently promoted to Field Superintendent, where he focuses on leading teams, coordinating trades, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending time on the water paddleboarding whenever possible, and he also enjoys coaching his daughter’s volleyball team, which has been a rewarding way for him to stay involved in his community.
Felipe Vergara
SuperintendentFelipe Vergara is an experienced construction manager with a decade of cross-sector expertise in civil, commercial, residential, and industrial projects. A graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, he brings a strong focus on field execution, project scheduling, and relationship-driven coordination to ensure timely delivery.
Outside of work, Felipe enjoys traveling, live music, exploring the mountains, and experiencing new cultures with family and friends.
Connor Lafferty
Assistant Project ManagerConnor Lafferty brings six years of hands on construction experience to his role as Assistant Project Manager, where he supports project teams with a steady blend of technical knowhow, clear communication, and a calm, solutions focused approach. He earned his degree in Construction Management from Michigan Technological University, grounding his field experience in a strong academic foundation.
Connor is driven by the satisfaction of seeing complex ideas turn into well built, functional spaces. He thrives in fast moving environments, enjoys collaborating with crews and clients alike, and takes pride in keeping projects organized, efficient, and moving forward.
Outside of work, Connor is most at home in the mountains. Whether he’s skiing fresh snow, biking new trails, or camping under the stars, he brings the same appreciation for challenge, craftsmanship, and the outdoors to everything he does.
Stokely Price
Senior Construction AccountantStokely Price joined BuilD R S in 2025 as Senior Construction Accountant, where he provides financial leadership for complex construction projects and supports executive and project teams. In this role, he oversees project financial planning, cost governance, and cash-flow strategy, ensuring accurate reporting, disciplined financial controls, and informed decision-making.
Prior to his current position, Stokely served as a finance manager for large-scale, multi-year projects and held various positions in audit, forecasting, and accounting within the infrastructure and construction sectors.
A resident of Denver, Stokely and his wife, Katie, spend their time outside of work skiing and exploring Colorado.
